Recent Microsoft Windows Updates Causing Errors In Creative Solutions Accounting Programs

If you use Creative Solutions for your accounting you may experience one or more errors when opening any screen that displays HTML content.  The errors may refer to an HTML page such as "Windows cannot access \\contents.html".

If you click through the error prompts you should be able to continue working as normal however you may find the errors distracting.  We have traced the cause of these errors to specific Microsoft Windows Security Updates that were released this month.

Offending Updates:

    KB3175443  on Windows 7 
    KB3176495  on Windows 10

We have not received calls regarding any non-Creative Solutions accounting programs however we know of several accounting products that also display HTML related content from time to time.
